Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai reaffirmed his government’s commitment to delivering on promises, citing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guarantees, most of which have been fulfilled within a year. Speaking at a public event in Raigarh, CM Sai highlighted the Mahtari Vandan Scheme, under which ₹1,000 was transferred as the 10th installment to over 70 lakh women across the state.
“The blessings of our mothers and sisters empower us to work tirelessly. Their pride and self-reliance bring us immense satisfaction,” said the Chief Minister as he expressed gratitude for the support of the women of Chhattisgarh. During the event, Sarawasti Yadav was invited to press a button that disbursed ₹652 crore to the beneficiaries of the scheme.
State’s Largest Nalanda Campus in Raigarh: Vision for Youth Empowerment
Marking a significant milestone for education infrastructure, CM Sai laid the foundation for Chhattisgarh’s largest Nalanda Campus. Built at a cost of ₹42.56 crore, the campus aims to provide world-class facilities for students preparing for competitive exams like civil services, engineering, and medical entrance tests.
The campus will feature:
- Smart Library and Study Zones: Thousands of books, access to international e-books, and a comprehensive study environment.
- 24×7 Internet and Wi-Fi: High-speed connectivity for uninterrupted learning.
- Career Guidance and Seminars: Regular sessions for career preparation and counseling.
- Dedicated Kids Library: Tailored for children preparing for Navodaya Vidyalaya and Sainik School entrance exams.
- Modern Amenities: A conference hall and cafeteria for convenience.
CM Sai emphasized the importance of transparency in competitive exams, recalling how restoring integrity in PSC exams rebuilt the trust of aspirants. “We are committed to building a knowledge-driven ecosystem in line with PM Modi’s vision of a developed India by 2047,” he stated.
Development Projects Worth ₹137.55 Crore for Raigarh
The Chief Minister announced a slew of development initiatives, including:
- Strengthening road infrastructure to match international standards.
- Improving air and rail connectivity in regions like Surguja and Bastar.
- Boosting agricultural output through policies like the procurement of paddy at ₹3,100 per quintal, with a target of 160 lakh metric tons this season.
CM Sai highlighted that within a year of forming the government, they had approved 18 lakh houses under the PM Awas Yojana and continued to fulfill the promises made under Modi’s leadership.
Industrial Growth and Connectivity
Addressing industrial development, the Chief Minister announced the implementation of a new industrial policy aimed at easing processes for entrepreneurs. He stressed the importance of connectivity for industrial growth, revealing that the state’s road network will be on par with developed countries in two years. The improved rail infrastructure will not only benefit passengers but also enhance freight transport efficiency, boosting the state’s business ecosystem.
Leadership and Community Support
Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao applauded CM Sai’s leadership, stating, “This is the beginning of Vishnu’s good governance in Chhattisgarh. We are delivering on Modi’s guarantees, ensuring development in both urban and rural areas.”
Finance Minister O.P. Choudhary echoed these sentiments, sharing updates on projects such as the Kelo Dam canal work, which will improve irrigation for farmers. He also announced the upcoming opening of a Horticulture College in Raigarh.
Chhattisgarh’s Vision for 2047
In line with PM Modi’s goal of a developed India by 2047, Chhattisgarh has prepared its own Vision Document. The document emphasizes rapid industrialization, improved connectivity, and transparent governance to transform the state into a model of growth and development.
