State Government to Support Auditorium and IT-AI Research Lab at Sri Sathya Sai Women’s College
Golden Jubilee Celebrations Mark 50 Years of the Institution
Bhopal, February 7, 2025 – Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav emphasized that while women empowerment may be a topic of discussion in many countries, in India, it has been a matter of reverence since ancient times. He stated that in Indian society, respect for women is not just theoretical but is being transformed into reality through concrete actions.

Dr. Yadav highlighted that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, special emphasis has been given to ensuring one-third representation for women in governance. The Madhya Pradesh government has also implemented 35% reservation for women in government services. He noted that as new industries emerge in the state, a significant number of women are securing employment, particularly in the ready-made garment sector, where they are receiving financial incentives. Furthermore, schemes like Ladli Laxmi and Ladli Behna are ensuring educational opportunities and special benefits for girls.
Commending Sri Sathya Sai Women’s College for achieving an ‘A+’ grade from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Dr. Yadav lauded the institution for completing 50 years of excellence in higher education.
State Support for Infrastructure Development
Speaking at the Golden Jubilee celebrations and awards ceremony at Sri Sathya Sai College, BHEL, Bhopal, Dr. Yadav announced that the state government would provide necessary support for the construction of an auditorium and the establishment of an IT and AI research lab at the college.
He stressed the pivotal role of women in society, stating, “A world without our sisters and daughters would be incomplete. Women’s respect is of utmost importance. Today, India is setting an example for the world in terms of women’s empowerment.” He noted that the country’s first tribal woman President is a testament to India’s commitment to empowering women across various fields.
Spiritual and Educational Contributions
Reflecting on the contributions of Sri Sathya Sai Maharaj, Dr. Yadav said that his work in the fields of education and health continues to inspire generations. He extended best wishes for the upcoming centenary celebrations of Sri Sathya Sai Maharaj, scheduled for November 23 this year at Puttaparthi and other locations.
Recognition of Excellence
During the event, Minister of State for Backward Classes and Minority Welfare, Krishna Gaur, honored outstanding students for their achievements. The college principal, Dr. Archana Srivastava, presented a progress report outlining the institution’s journey over the past five decades.
The grand event saw the participation of Sri Sathya Sai Organization officials, including Nimish Pandya, Jammu Bhandari, and Meena Pimplapure, along with a large gathering of faculty members, students, and dignitaries.
The celebrations marked a significant milestone in the history of Sri Sathya Sai Women’s College, reinforcing its commitment to academic excellence and women’s empowerment.
