Bhopal, February 7, 2025 – Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav emphasized the crucial role of the police in ensuring public safety and justice, stating that policing is a profession that demands lifelong dedication. Addressing the IPS Service Meet at Kushabhau Thakre Auditorium, he praised the Madhya Pradesh Police for its unwavering commitment to tackling challenges and maintaining law and order.CM Dr. Yadav

Dr. Yadav directed the Director General of Police (DGP) to introduce a grading system for police stations at the district, division, and state levels based on their performance. He also recommended rewarding officers and personnel who demonstrate exceptional service, stating that such recognition would enhance public confidence in the police force.

“Our police force is becoming the beacon of hope for society. We must further strengthen internal coordination and unity. Service meets like this provide officers with an opportunity to share and learn from each other’s experiences,” he remarked.CM Dr. Yadav

The Chief Minister also highlighted the government’s commitment to police modernization, stressing that the IPS Service Meet should not be seen as just an event but as a training workshop aimed at enhancing skills and efficiency. “If we have been given the opportunity to serve, we must utilize our full potential for the betterment of society,” he said.

Strengthening Public Trust in Law Enforcement

Dr. Yadav underscored the importance of public trust in policing, stating that “when all other avenues close, people turn to the police as their last hope. This trust must be maintained through continuous engagement, training, and skill enhancement.” He encouraged the police force to embrace new-age challenges, including cybercrime, drug abuse, and traffic safety, and to work towards eliminating threats such as organized crime and terrorism.

Recognition for Excellence in Policing

During the event, Dr. Yadav honored Superintendent of Police Rashmi Jain and her team at Bamhori Kalan Police Station in Tikamgarh, which was recognized among the best police stations in the country by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs. He reiterated the state government’s commitment to equipping the police force with modern resources and advanced technology.CM Dr. Yadav

DGP Highlights Key Achievements

Director General of Police Kailash Makwana reaffirmed the police force’s dedication to public safety. He highlighted the successful implementation of new criminal laws, which earned praise from the Union Home Minister and Home Secretary. “Our force has played a vital role in eradicating dacoit gangs and significantly curbing Naxalite activities in the state. We have also launched an extensive cybercrime awareness campaign, educating over a million students and citizens on online fraud prevention,” he stated.

IPS Association Expresses Gratitude

IPS Association President Ravi Kumar Gupta thanked Chief Minister Dr. Yadav for his support and motivation, acknowledging the police force’s round-the-clock commitment to ensuring security and justice.

At the conclusion of the event, Dr. Yadav was presented with a memento in appreciation of his leadership and support for the police force. He also posed for a group photograph with IPS officers, further boosting morale among law enforcement personnel.

The event was attended by senior IPS officers from across the state, marking a significant step towards strengthening law enforcement and enhancing police effectiveness in Madhya Pradesh.
