Expansion of Tulsi Manas Pratishthan’s Activities Discussed in Committee Meeting
Bhopal, February 5, 2025 – Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav chaired a meeting of the Tulsi Manas Pratishthan’s management committee at Manas Bhavan on Wednesday. He emphasized the need to expand the institution’s activities and directed concerned officials to implement strategic initiatives for its growth.
Dr. Yadav highlighted that the promotion of Ramayana, Tulsi literature, and Indian cultural heritage should be prioritized. He proposed special programs at religious sites like Chitrakoot to engage youth and scholars in cultural enrichment.

Strengthening Cultural Awareness and Digital Outreach
During the meeting, the Chief Minister stressed the importance of connecting different sections of society with the initiative to strengthen spiritual and cultural consciousness. He also advocated for leveraging online platforms to make Ramayana and Tulsi literature more accessible to the public. A comprehensive roadmap was discussed to structure upcoming events and increase public participation.
Committee Chairman Shri Raghunandan Sharma suggested road widening in front of Manas Bhavan and the removal of illegal structures between Manas Bhavan, Hindi Bhavan, and Gandhi Bhavan. Responding to the request, Dr. Yadav directed Collector Bhopal, Shri Kaushalendra Vikram Singh, to take necessary action.
State’s Cultural and Social Initiatives
Dr. Yadav also briefed the committee about the government’s serious consideration of liquor prohibition in the state. He announced plans to establish ‘Geeta Bhavans’ across Madhya Pradesh to promote the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita. Additionally, he revealed that the government is working towards developing Ujjain, similar to the religious management in Haridwar, to enhance spiritual infrastructure.
He informed the committee that permanent ashrams, monasteries, dharamshalas, and satsang venues will be built in Ujjain’s Simhastha Mela region. Further, a one-acre land in TT Nagar, Bhopal, has been identified for the construction of a Geeta Bhavan as part of the Smart City project.
Publication and Future Commitments
The committee members presented various development-related proposals for the Pratishthan, which Dr. Yadav assured would be implemented promptly. Concluding the session, he launched the monthly magazine ‘Tulsi Manas Bharti’, dedicated to promoting Tulsi literature and Indian culture.
