Students Excelling in Education and Language Skills

One such school in Bhanupratappur block headquarters serves 990 students under the guidance of 29 teachers. Of these, 672 students are enrolled in the English-medium section (Grades 1–12), while 318 students study in the Hindi-medium section (Grades 9–12).

Success Stories: JEE Selections

The school principal, P.R. Bhardwaj, highlighted that under the PM Shri scheme, students are being nurtured in both Hindi and English mediums across two shifts. In the last academic year, 75% of the students achieved success.PM Shri Schools

Notably, two students, Kumkum Dhanendra and Muskan Baghel, were selected for JEE and are now studying at NIT Raipur and IIIT Raipur, respectively. The school is also equipped with 16 CCTV cameras for security, along with knowledge corners and IT zones to support learning.

‘Parakh’ Initiative: Preparing Students for Competitive Exams

District Education Officer Ashok Kumar Patel shared insights into the ‘Parakh’ program, where students receive free coaching from subject experts for exams like JEE and NEET. Weekly tests and OMR sheet practice help students build confidence and improve time management skills.

Widespread Implementation in Kanker District

PM Shri Schools are operational in multiple locations across Kanker, including:

  • Primary Schools: Antagarh, Sarandi (Uparpara), Bogar, and Sanjaypara (Bhanupratappur), Dargahan (Charama), and Balak Kodekurse (Durgukondal).
  • Nursery to Grade 12 Schools: Antagarh, Bhanupratappur, Charama, Durgukondal, Kanker, and Narharpur.
