Bhopal, May 9, 2025 — Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla conducted an in-depth review of the various infrastructure projects led by the Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation (MPRDC) in the Rewa and Shahdol divisions. During this meeting, Shukla emphasized the necessity of completing all ongoing projects within the designated timeframes while upholding quality standards.
The Deputy CM particularly focused on the pending works for the Sidhi-Singrauli four-lane highway, urging officials to expedite the construction of the remaining segments. He stated that this project is of significant importance for regional growth, with 52% of the work already completed. Efforts to eliminate any administrative bottlenecks should be a top priority to ensure timely execution.

Additionally, Shukla reviewed the Rewa-Beda-Semaria stretch, which is funded by the Asian Development Bank. He specifically highlighted the final segment of about one kilometer, between Dheka Tirahe and Mandi, stressing the urgency of its swift completion due to its heavy traffic volume.
The Deputy CM also evaluated the upgrade of the Umaria-Shahdol two-lane road, which is nearly 93% complete. Shukla set a firm target for its completion by the end of June 2025. Moreover, he called for meticulous monitoring of the Rewa Bypass four-lane project, which is currently 14% complete, to ensure that the work progresses according to schedule.
Shukla also stressed the importance of ensuring timely payments for completed work to maintain progress and keep projects on track. He urged officials to continue to focus on budget optimization and to resolve any obstacles that may arise during the construction process.
The meeting included participation from MPRDC Managing Director Bharat Yadav and various concerned department officials.
