Tribal Dance Troupes from Arunachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Telangana, Rajasthan, and Sikkim Arrive in Raipur for Tribal Pride Day Celebrations

Under the guidance of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, a grand state-level event celebrating Tribal Pride Day will be held at the Science College Grounds in Raipur on November 14 and 15 to honor the birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda. This two-day event will feature captivating cultural performances from tribal dance troupes across 17 states, including a special representation from Chhattisgarh.
Today, tribal dance groups from Arunachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Telangana, Rajasthan, and Sikkim arrived in Raipur to perform their unique traditional dances. These troupes will showcase a variety of vibrant performances: Arunachal Pradesh’s troupe will present the Adilok dance drama, Uttarakhand’s troupe will perform the Jhinjhi, Holi, Hanna, and Diya dances, Telangana’s troupe will perform the Mathuri tribal dance, Rajasthan’s troupe will present the Walra Garasia Gair dance, and Sikkim’s troupe will showcase the Subba folk dance drama.
The program on November 14 and 15 will start at 3 p.m., featuring inter-state cultural performances, seminars on tribal pride themes, and an exhibition of paintings reflecting tribal lifestyles. This event aims to honor the rich tribal heritage and cultural diversity of India.
