Raipur, November 13, 2024: The “Maati Ke Veer Padayatra,” led by Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya and Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, celebrated the rich legacy of tribal communities and their contributions to India’s progress. Organized in Jashpur, this seven-kilometer march began at Balachapar, passed through various streets and intersections, and concluded at the Ranjita Stadium. The event marked the upcoming anniversary of revered tribal leader Birsa Munda, aiming to honor the tribal heritage and inspire pride.
With more than 10,000 youth from the “My Bharat” voluntary organization participating, the march drew enthusiastic support from the community. Local citizens decorated the route with vibrant rangoli designs and artworks, and a traditional exhibit of tribal weapons and musical instruments was set up at Gamhariya Chowk. Tribal dance troupes performed songs and dances throughout, creating a festive atmosphere.
The march included high-profile leaders such as Deputy Chief Minister Arun Saw, Tribal Welfare Minister Ramvichar Netam, Finance Minister and Jashpur District In-charge O.P. Choudhary, Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Tank Ram Verma, Women and Child Development Minister Laxmi Rajwade, and other prominent officials. Thousands of young volunteers from My Bharat, along with community leaders and citizens, joined the march, making it a grand display of solidarity and respect for tribal heritage.
