Tribal Pride Yatra Inspires Youth and Community: Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya

Raipur, November 13, 2024: Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya and Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai attended the concluding ceremony of the Tribal Pride Yatra in Jashpur, emphasizing the empowerment and development of tribal communities under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The event, organized at the local Ranjita Stadium, celebrated tribal culture, heritage, and unity, encouraging youth to contribute actively toward India’s growth.

Speaking at the event, Union Minister Mandaviya praised the “My Bharat Volunteers” for the Yatra’s success. He noted that the Yatra offered an opportunity to experience the unique tribal traditions, attire, and way of life in the region, serving as a powerful source of inspiration for unity and community pride among youth. The minister called on participants to follow the values of revered tribal leader Birsa Munda and join hands with Prime Minister Modi’s vision for a developed India by registering on the “My Bharat” app.

Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai applauded the initiative, stating that Prime Minister Modi’s leadership has continually uplifted the tribal community’s stature, with national celebrations of Birsa Munda’s birth anniversary on November 15 now marking a “Tribal Pride Day.” He highlighted the PM Janman scheme and the recently launched Earth Father Tribal Village Upliftment Scheme with an 80,000 crore rupee budget to advance tribal welfare.

Additional remarks came from Deputy Chief Minister Arun Saw, who reflected on Birsa Munda’s sacrifice and commitment to justice, and Tribal Development Minister Ramvichar Netam, who noted the participation of over 15,000 youths in the Yatra, symbolizing unity and dedication. The ceremony concluded with gratitude from Finance Minister O.P. Choudhary, who recognized the government’s sustained efforts in supporting tribal communities.

Also present were Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Tank Ram Verma, Minister for Women and Child Development Laxmi Rajwade, MPs Radheshyam Rathia and Chintamani Maharaj, and other dignitaries, alongside a large gathering of youth and citizens.
