Jaipur, November 29, 2024 Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma emphasized the state government’s commitment to enhancing urban infrastructure and public services to global standards. He directed the timely completion of budget announcements and urged officials to adopt advanced technologies to set new benchmarks in urban development.
At a review meeting of the Urban Development Department on Friday at the Chief Minister’s office, CM Sharma reviewed the progress of various departmental projects and issued instructions for their prompt completion. He stressed prioritizing resources in high-need areas to provide immediate relief to citizens.
Effective Traffic Management for Jaipur
Acknowledging Jaipur’s increasing traffic challenges due to rising population, the CM called for an effective action plan. Specific instructions were given to address traffic congestion at hotspots like Jaipur Collectorate Circle and Gandhinagar Mod, along with the development of alternative routes.
The CM reviewed the progress of key infrastructure projects, including:
- Riddhi-Siddhi Flyover
- Imli Phatak Flyover
- Elevated Road from Sanganer Flyover to Chauradiya Petrol Pump
- Civil Lines ROB
- Rambagh Golf Club Parking
He also evaluated projects such as the beautification of the Dravyavati River, the construction of the IPD Tower, Jaipur Metro expansion, Ring Road development, and other ROBs, RUBs, and elevated roads.
Online Database for Housing Board Properties
Sharma instructed the Housing Board to expedite affordable housing projects while ensuring quality and transparency. He directed the board to digitize property records to make information easily accessible to the public and improve online applications and e-auction processes.
Filling Vacant Positions
To enhance efficiency, the CM ordered urgent recruitment for vacant posts in the Jaipur Development Authority, Rajasthan Housing Board, and other urban bodies. He directed the creation of service rules for the engineering cadre to facilitate recruitments through the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC).
Resolve Pending Employee Cases
CM Sharma reiterated the government’s zero-tolerance policy towards corruption and emphasized encouraging honest employees. He directed officials to resolve all pending cases related to departmental staff promptly.
The meeting also covered key topics such as urban landscape improvements, municipal status, innovative departmental initiatives, and the progress of master and zonal development plans.
