Participating virtually in a large-scale wedding ceremony held in Rajakhedi Bajaria (Makronia), Sagar district, Dr. Yadav extended heartfelt congratulations and blessings to 1,119 couples who were married under the Mukhyamantri Kanyadan Yojana.
Dr. Yadav stated that mass weddings are no longer limited to necessity but are becoming a conscious and welcome choice by society, indicating a shift toward more inclusive and thoughtful traditions.

“One venue, hundreds of unions — this is not just about weddings, it’s about community, cooperation, and compassion,” the Chief Minister remarked.
He praised the growing public support for collective marriage programs, emphasizing that they reduce unnecessary financial pressure and build strong community bonds. The state government, he added, is committed to supporting such positive change and ensuring dignity for all citizens, regardless of financial status.
Support Beyond Ceremonies: Government Transfers ₹6.37 Crore
Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Kumar Shukla, attending the event in person, revealed that ₹6.37 crore had been deposited directly into the bank accounts of all newlyweds. He highlighted the transformational impact of the Mukhyamantri Kanyadan Yojana and said it had helped thousands of families start a new chapter without financial burden.

He noted that in Madhya Pradesh, no daughter’s wedding is delayed or derailed due to poverty, thanks to such proactive policies. “The government has become a true partner in people’s lives,” he said.
Organized With Community Participation
Local MLA Engineer Pradeep Laria, the event organizer, shared that the massive event was made possible through coordinated planning and enthusiastic support from all sections of the community.
Ministers Govind Singh Rajput, Shailendra Jain, Nirmala Sapre, and Virendra Lambardar, along with other officials and a large gathering of guests, family members, and community leaders, graced the occasion.
Building a Society of Shared Responsibility
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav concluded his remarks by encouraging families to embrace simplicity, unity, and government welfare schemes.
