Chief Minister Offers Prayers at Maa Narmada Ghats in Maheshwar

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav on Friday visited the sacred city of Maheshwar, renowned for its connection with Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar, to offer prayers at the ghats of Maa Narmada. During the ceremony, he expressed his gratitude and stated that with the blessings of Maa Narmada, Madhya Pradesh continues to tread the path of progress and prosperity. He prayed for the state’s development and the well-being of its citizens.
Dr. Yadav, accompanied by members of his Council of Ministers, performed a traditional Narmada Puja, offering a sacred chunari and conducting a milk abhishek. The ritual was conducted by 20 local priests, who recited the Narmadashtak and led the ceremony with detailed rituals.
It is noteworthy that the Chief Minister and the cabinet ministers were in Maheshwar to attend a cabinet meeting, which was held earlier in the day.

This act of devotion not only underscores the cultural and spiritual importance of the Narmada River but also symbolizes the government’s commitment to aligning its vision of development with the spiritual heritage of Madhya Pradesh.
