Dehradun, June 25, 2026: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved financial and administrative sanctions worth Rs 42 crore for a range of development, beautification, disaster relief and public welfare projects across multiple districts of the state. The approved works include road construction, temple improvement, solar energy installations and support for families affected by natural disaster.

The chief minister sanctioned Rs 85 lakh for beautification and boundary wall construction at Shri Hayon Guru Dev and Gaireng temple in Baun village under the Dharchula विधानसभा of Pithoragarh district. He also approved Rs 50.08 lakh for beautification of the fairground at Kulanteshwar Mahadev in Salt constituency.

In Haridwar district, Rs 16.49 lakh has been sanctioned for construction of a boundary wall at the cremation ground in Mewad Nagad under Piran Kaliyar constituency. In Dehradun, Rs 3.36 lakh has been approved from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to provide rented accommodation for six months to 14 affected families from Majhada and Carligad, each receiving Rs 4,000 per month for safety reasons after a natural disaster.

In Udham Singh Nagar district, Rs 85.49 lakh has been sanctioned for reconstruction of the Nagla and Lalpur motor road to Inderpur Ambedkar Colony in the Kichha assembly area through premix carpet treatment.

The chief minister has also cleared major solar energy projects under UREDA. These include Rs 35.24 crore for the installation of grid connected solar power plants with a total capacity of 5.5 MW on government buildings, with the first installment of Rs 14.10 crore released. Additionally, Rs 38 crore has been sanctioned for solar street lights and solar high mast systems at public locations across various districts, with an initial installment of Rs 15.20 crore approved. Another Rs 6.76 crore has been approved for solar water heater installations on government buildings, with Rs 2.70 crore released in the first installment.

For Pithoragarh district, Rs 3.28 crore has been sanctioned for the construction of external pathways and related facilities at Adi Kailash Temple in Dharchula development block. In Champawat constituency, Rs 4.38 crore has been approved for the construction of 10 km internal roads each in the rural areas of Tanakpur and Banbasa.

The state government said these approvals reflect its focus on strengthening infrastructure, improving accessibility, promoting renewable energy and responding quickly to public welfare needs.
