Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Burhanpur, said PM Svanidhi 2.0 now provides loans of Rs 15,000 and Rs 25,000 in addition to the existing Rs 50,000 limit. For the financial year 2026–2027, the state has fixed targets for Burhanpur Municipal Corporation of 3,108 beneficiaries for the first tranche (Rs 15,000), 2,004 for the second tranche (Rs 25,000) and 1,198 for the third tranche (Rs 50,000).

The commissioner added that since the scheme began, about 19,000 beneficiaries have received loans totaling around Rs 36 crore. Interest subvention will continue at rates above 7 percent, and beneficiaries will be eligible for an annual cashback of Rs 1,200 on digital transactions.

The commissioner urged all small traders, shopkeepers and street vendors in the municipal area who have not yet availed the scheme to register immediately on the Unorganised Workers’ portal and apply at MP Online outlets or the municipal NULM office. Applicants should carry a business photograph, Aadhaar card, Samagra ID, bank passbook and an Aadhaar linked mobile number. He also said vendors whose loan processing was stalled earlier due to the scheme’s temporary closure should contact the municipality to re-submit applications to banks and become eligible for benefits.
