One such beneficiary is Shatrughan Patel, a resident of Podi Shankar village under the Bamhani Deeh Janpad Panchayat. Shatrughan, along with his family, used to live in a dilapidated kutcha house. During the monsoon, they feared water flooding their home, while winter brought bone-chilling cold winds that seeped through the walls.
