National Glory for Sarguja Athletes
Chhattisgarh athletes from Sarguja showcased exceptional talent at the Professional National Kickboxing League held in Coorg, Karnataka, from November 10 to 14, 2024. The team brought pride to the state by securing two gold medals, one silver, and one bronze.

The medal-winning athletes met Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai at his residence to share their achievements. The Chief Minister lauded their hard work and dedication, offering them his best wishes for a bright future.

Victories That Shine Bright
The event, organized by the WAKO India Kickboxing Federation, saw impressive performances by:

  • Swati Rajwade: Gold in the under-60 kg category.
  • Sarwar Ekka: Gold in the under-50 kg category.
  • Satyam Sahu: Silver in the under-70 kg category.
  • Sanjana Minj: Bronze in the under-50 kg category.

Recognition and Support for Sports Excellence
During the meeting, Chief Minister Sai emphasized the state government’s commitment to fostering sports and supporting talented athletes. He praised their achievements as an inspiration for other youth in Chhattisgarh.

The athletes were accompanied by key members of the Kickboxing Association of Chhattisgarh, including:

  • President Chhagan Lal Mundra
  • Executive President Tarkesh Mishra
  • Secretary Akash Guru Diwan
  • Team Coach Khilawan Das
