Dehradun, August 11, 2026: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inspected the reconstructed approach road of the Nanda Ki Chowki bridge in Premnagar while returning from a women’s dialogue and felicitation programme held in Bhaunwala, Sahaspur.
During the inspection, the Chief Minister reviewed the quality of the reconstruction work, safety arrangements and traffic movement at the site. He also sought detailed information from officials regarding the damage, restoration process and measures taken to ensure smooth movement for commuters.
The approach road was repaired after the state government received information about its damage. Dhami directed the concerned departments to begin relief and reconstruction work immediately so that the disruption did not inconvenience local residents for a prolonged period.
Working on a priority basis, officials, engineers and field staff completed the reconstruction within 12 hours. The rapid restoration helped normalise traffic in the area and provided immediate relief to commuters and residents.
Dhami praised the officers, engineers and other personnel involved in the work for their prompt response, coordination and dedication. He said essential public infrastructure must be restored without delay whenever damage affects daily life and public movement.
The inspection took place in the presence of Sahaspur MLA Sahdev Singh Pundir, programme organisers P.K. Agrawal and Lakshmi Agrawal, public representatives, women associated with self-help groups, accomplished women from different fields, social workers and a large number of local residents.
