Freedom from the Troubles of a Mud House
Narayanpur, December 13, 2024: The good governance and sensitive approach of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai’s government have brought hope to homeless families by ensuring permanent roofs over their heads. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), financial assistance is provided to economically disadvantaged individuals to build their homes. This initiative enables families living below the poverty line to construct safe and secure homes, a transformative effort undertaken by the government to eradicate homelessness across the nation.
Ranay, a resident of Kudhargaon village in Narayanpur district, expressed heartfelt gratitude towards the government for making his dream of owning a permanent house come true. Ranay, who supports his family through farming and labor, received approval for a house under PMAY-Gramin during the financial year 2022-23. Previously, he and his family lived in a fragile, thatched-roof mud house, which brought numerous challenges.
During the rainy season, water leakage and dampness made living conditions unbearable, while the constant threat of insects and poisonous creatures added to their woes. Now, with the construction of a permanent home, Ranay and his family are relieved of these hardships.
Transforming Lives with Financial Assistance
Ranay shared his joy, stating that he received ₹1.3 lakh directly in his bank account under PMAY-Gramin, which enabled him to construct his new house. He now resides happily with his family in the newly built home, free from the fears and inconveniences of his old mud house.
Gratitude Towards the Government
Expressing his gratitude, Ranay thanked the Chhattisgarh government, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, and Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai for this life-changing initiative. He lauded the government’s dedication to improving the lives of economically weaker sections through such impactful schemes.
This inspiring success story reflects the government’s commitment to providing secure housing and uplifting the underprivileged, ensuring no family remains homeless in the state.
