Bhopal, Wednesday, November 13, 2024: Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla emphasized the government’s commitment to providing top-notch healthcare to every citizen, highlighting that the “PM Shri Air Ambulance Service” is proving to be a vital initiative for delivering high-quality emergency medical care during critical situations. Through swift and efficient emergency care, lives are being saved across the state.

In a recent case, the PM Shri Air Ambulance Service was used to transport a high-risk pregnant woman, Mrs. Rani Pateriya from Khero village in Chhatarpur, ensuring both her and her newborn’s safety. On November 10, Mrs. Pateriya was admitted to Chhatarpur District Hospital with a high-risk condition due to a full-term pregnancy following a previous C-section. After the C-section procedure, she experienced postpartum bleeding. Gynecologist Dr. Nidhi Khare performed essential treatments, including a hysterectomy and a transfusion of four units of blood, keeping her under close observation.

Given the criticality of her condition, the hospital’s medical team, including the Chief Medical Health Officer (CMHO) Dr. R.P. Gupta, decided to transfer her to a higher medical center. Since Mrs. Pateriya holds an Ayushman Card, she was referred to Chirayu Hospital in Bhopal under the Ayushman Scheme. Once a bed was confirmed at the hospital, an air ambulance was arranged through kelsa.io, and she was transported by a 108 ambulance to Khajuraho Airport before being flown to Bhopal. She was admitted to Chirayu Hospital, where her condition is now stable.

**Free and Rapid Transport for Medical Emergencies**

The PM Shri Air Ambulance Service provides crucial assistance in remote and difficult-to-reach regions, where geographical barriers might otherwise delay urgent care. Patients are stabilized and transported to advanced medical centers for specialized care. The service is available for serious injuries from road and industrial accidents, natural disasters, and life-threatening conditions that require immediate medical attention.

**Eligibility**

Victims of road, industrial, or natural disasters are eligible for free transport to government or private hospitals both within and outside the state. Ayushman Card holders receive free transport to Ayushman-affiliated hospitals. Non-Ayushman beneficiaries are also eligible for free transport within the state to government hospitals, while paid transportation at a subsidized rate is available for facilities outside the state.
