Dehradun, June 16, 2026: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the welfare schemes launched under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership have brought meaningful change to the lives of millions of citizens across India. He said flagship programmes such as Ayushman Bharat, PM Awas Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana, Jan Dhan Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission and Swachh Bharat Mission have reshaped the country’s welfare landscape.
Welfare Delivery Reaches Common Citizens
Dhami said the Modi government has built a governance model focused on dignity, inclusion and direct benefit delivery. According to him, these schemes have not only provided financial support but have also improved access to health care, housing, clean drinking water, sanitation, banking services and cooking fuel for poor and middle class families.
He added that Ayushman Bharat has strengthened health security, while PM Awas Yojana has helped families move from temporary shelters to permanent homes. He also said Jan Dhan accounts, free LPG connections and tap water supply under central schemes have improved everyday life for millions of households.

The chief minister said Prime Minister Modi’s leadership has turned welfare programmes into instruments of social transformation. He noted that the scale and reach of these schemes reflect a governance model that places citizens at the center of development.
