Increase in Cheetah Population in the State

Favorable Environment for Wildlife Due to Government’s Commitment

Bhopal, Thursday, February 6, 2025 –

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has announced that Madhya Pradesh will soon have a new tiger reserve. The Madhav Tiger Sanctuary is set to become the state’s ninth tiger reserve, which will boost the wildlife population in the Chambal region. The state is setting new records in wildlife conservation.

On Wednesday, five cheetahs were released in the Kuno region, out of which three were born in Madhya Pradesh itself. This brings the total to seven cheetahs adapting to the state’s environment. The previously released cheetahs are not only hunting successfully but also roaming the forest with ease.

This remarkable balance between nature, wildlife, and human life is evident in the state, allowing people to experience both joy and excitement. It reflects the state government’s commitment to wildlife conservation and proves that Madhya Pradesh offers the most suitable environment for wildlife.
