Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav announced that Madhav National Park in Shivpuri will soon be designated as Madhya Pradesh’s 9th tiger reserve. Chief Minister to Release a Pair of Tigers in Madhav National Park
CM Dr. Yadav revealed that he will personally release a pair of tigers into Madhav National Park, marking a significant step in the state’s tiger conservation efforts. The increasing influx of tourists in the Chambal range will create new employment and self-employment opportunities for local youth.

Chambal’s Rich Wildlife Heritage and Conservation Projects
Madhya Pradesh has earned the prestigious title of “Tiger State”, boasting the highest number of tigers in the country. In addition to tiger conservation, the Chambal region is home to significant wildlife projects, including:
- Cheetahs in Kuno National Park, a first-of-its-kind conservation effort in Asia.
- Gharial and Dolphin conservation projects in the Chambal River, aimed at protecting and preserving these endangered species.
