Recently, a thrilling bike trip organized by Jashpure and Pahadi Bakra Adventure attracted riders nationwide. Adventurers experienced Jashpur’s winding roads, challenging trails, and lush forests, relishing the district’s untouched natural beauty reminiscent of popular adventure destinations like Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh. Attractions like the Rani Dah Waterfall, Sarudih Tea Gardens, Kinkel Path, Churi, Makkarbhajja Falls, as well as the unique tribal culture and cuisine, captivated these riders.
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, the government has initiated substantial efforts to boost tourism and elevate the local economy. Recognizing Jashpur’s potential, the Chief Minister aims to establish it as a hub for adventure sports. Adventure sports and tourism are poised to create significant employment for local youth. Thanks to training programs guided by the Chief Minister, local and tribal youths are now equipped with international-level skills in adventure sports. The renowned “Deshdekha Climbing Sector” has become popular among adventure enthusiasts, offering rock climbing experiences led by local guides.
A special stargazing session was organized during the trip, allowing participants to observe celestial bodies and learn about astronomy under the open night sky. This unique experience has positioned Jashpur as an ideal spot for stargazing at the national level.
The bikers also enjoyed local tribal cuisine and culture, sampling traditional dishes made from Mahua and millet by Jashpure and learning about the heritage of the tribal community. Extreme adventure sport trainer and district tourism advisor Swapnil Rachelawar remarked on the region’s vast potential, noting that the natural resilience of local and tribal people makes them ideal for excelling in adventure sports. With proper guidance, Jashpur could produce world-class athletes and professional guides.
