Bhopal, December 13, 2024: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated the “Jan Kalyan Parv” to celebrate welfare and progress as the state government completed its first year.

During the event held at the Kushabhau Thakre International Convention Center in Bhopal, Dr. Yadav announced developmental works worth ₹758.92 crore across five districts of the Bhopal division. The Chief Minister lit the ceremonial lamp to commence the program, which saw the foundation-laying and inauguration of 70 major projects.

Celebrating Bhopal’s Historical and Cultural Pride

Speaking at the event, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav highlighted the unique identity of Bhopal as not just the state capital but also as a symbol of cultural and historical pride. He announced plans to construct grand entry gateways in the name of the legendary figures Raja Bhoj and Emperor Vikramaditya to honor their contributions.

He further emphasized the need to preserve Bhopal’s architectural marvels and its iconic lakes. “The traditional water conservation techniques demonstrated by Bhopal’s historic water bodies are exemplary even in modern times,” he remarked, underscoring the importance of reviving and applying these methods in the present-day context.

Dr. Yadav added that the glorious Bhojpur Temple, home to the world’s largest Shiva Lingam, would be developed under a dedicated plan to highlight its cultural and spiritual significance at both national and global levels.

Madhya Pradesh: A Land of Growth and Conservation

The Chief Minister commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, during which India garnered global recognition.

Dr. Yadav also touched on Madhya Pradesh’s unique distinction as the Tiger State. “There are few places in the world where tigers can be spotted roaming at night on the same roads that are bustling with human activity during the day. This incredible coexistence is a testament to our dedication to wildlife conservation,” he said, referring to the capital city’s proximity to wildlife habitats.

Gateway to Development

Dr. Yadav’s announcement of gateway structures named after Raja Bhoj and Emperor Vikramaditya is a step toward reinforcing the state’s historical identity. These gates will symbolize Bhopal’s rich legacy, making every entry point to the city a reminder of its glorious past.

A Comprehensive Push for Growth

At the event, the Chief Minister was joined by key dignitaries, including Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Shri Vishvas Sarang, MSME Minister Shri Chaitanya Kumar Kashyap, Minister of State for Backward Classes and Minority Welfare Smt. Krishna Gaur, and other prominent public representatives.

Dr. Yadav’s government is not only focused on infrastructure development but also on ensuring that no eligible citizen is left behind in availing benefits of government schemes. The Jan Kalyan Parv represents a vision of inclusive growth where every corner of Madhya Pradesh thrives socially, economically, and culturally.

This balanced approach to progress is positioning Madhya Pradesh as a leader in cultural preservation, ecological conservation, and infrastructural excellence.
