Bhopal, November, 2024 – Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav held a video conference with senior administrative officials, including Collectors, Commissioners, IGs, and SPs, emphasizing the importance of maintaining law and order, improving public welfare, and ensuring effective governance at the district level. He underlined that Collectors and SPs are responsible for managing district-level governance and must be held accountable for any irregularities reported.

Key Directives from Chief Minister Dr. Yadav:

  1. Ensuring Effective Public Welfare: Dr. Yadav stressed the need for strict action against black marketeers, especially in the distribution of food grains and fertilizers. He directed that a transparent and systematic distribution mechanism be set up for all agricultural inputs, including seeds and fertilizers, ensuring no delays or irregularities. He also called for effective monitoring of all revenue-related activities to ensure speedy resolution.
  2. Procurement of Paddy, Sorghum, and Soybean: Dr. Yadav called for a well-organized system for the procurement of paddy, sorghum, and soybean. He directed that any reports of irregularities at procurement centers must be addressed immediately, and disciplinary action should be taken against the responsible officers. He highlighted successful innovations in districts such as Shajapur, where token distribution was handled effectively via the CM Helpline to prevent unnecessary queues.
  3. Promoting Technology and Innovations: The Chief Minister encouraged the use of technology in agriculture, especially through drones for spraying fertilizers and seeds, and urged districts to promote organic farming. He also advocated for expanding the use of super-seeders and happy-seeders to manage crop residue (parali), with the goal of creating 400 “parali-free” villages.
  4. Revenue Maha Abhiyan 3.0: Dr. Yadav reviewed the ongoing Revenue Maha Abhiyan 3.0, aimed at helping farmers and citizens with various land-related services. He emphasized the need to meet the set targets, which include tasks like name changes, land divisions, and linking Aadhaar with land records. He urged officials to collaborate with local representatives to complete the campaign successfully.
  5. Law and Order Management: Dr. Yadav emphasized the importance of maintaining law and order, particularly in sensitive regions. He directed officials to focus on cracking down on illegal drug trade, arresting criminals, and ensuring strict actions against habitual offenders. Special attention was given to the rising issues of cybercrime, with a focus on increasing vigilance during festivals and holidays.
  6. Promotion of Homestays in Tribal Areas: The Chief Minister also discussed the growing popularity of homestays in tribal regions and shared plans to personally stay in a homestay in a tribal district, such as Alirajpur or Dhar. He encouraged the involvement of celebrities to promote these homestays and boost tourism in these areas.

Key Administrative and Developmental Goals:

  • Drone Use and Agricultural Innovation: Encouraging the use of drones for agricultural applications, which can enhance productivity while reducing costs.
  • Revenue Campaigns and Digital Monitoring: Strengthening revenue management through campaigns like Revenue Maha Abhiyan 3.0, ensuring transparency and fast-tracking the process of land-related work.
  • Law and Order During Festivals: Special vigilance during festivals to prevent crimes, especially drug-related offenses, and ensuring the safety of citizens.
  • Promoting Tribal Tourism: Supporting the tribal tourism sector by promoting homestays in tribal areas and ensuring that the sector benefits from improved infrastructure and visibility.

Dr. Yadav concluded by stating that efficient implementation of these initiatives, leveraging technology and innovation, will significantly enhance governance and public welfare across the state.
