Sehore, 09/11/2024: Addressing gatherings in the Satrana and Ladkui areas of Budhni Assembly, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav on Saturday urged voters to ask Congress leaders for accountability on the last 55 years of governance. According to Dr. Yadav, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has achieved developmental progress in the last 20 years that Congress failed to deliver in over half a century. He claimed that Congress’s focus remained on political gain rather than genuine development, often leaving the public in a “blind well.” Yadav stressed the need to continue BJP’s development legacy by securing a strong victory in the upcoming elections. BJP candidate Shri Ramakant Bhargava also addressed the gatherings.

BJP’s 20 Years of Transformation in Budhni and the State

Dr. Yadav emphasized Budhni’s transformative journey over the last two decades under BJP governance, noting the substantial improvements in infrastructure and prosperity for Budhni’s residents. In contrast to Congress’s five-decade rule, he said BJP has modernized the region and the state. In 2003, per capita income was just INR 7,500 annually—a figure that no longer even suffices to hire daily wage workers. Today, Madhya Pradesh provides adequate electricity not only to local communities but also powers the Delhi Metro. He highlighted the increased agricultural productivity under BJP, with farmers now able to cultivate three crops annually, whereas earlier only one was possible. He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government for initiatives like the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, which provides financial assistance to farmers, matched by the state government’s own contributions—a stark contrast, he noted, to Congress, which, he claimed, never deposited even a rupee in farmers’ accounts.

Opposition’s Return: ‘Give a Fitting Response’

Dr. Yadav urged voters to confront those “responsible for the state’s stagnation” who now return seeking votes despite their inaction in previous terms. He pointed out that critical infrastructure improvements could have been completed 50-55 years ago. Addressing the gathered women, he asked if they ever received financial support during Congress’s tenure, contrasting this with BJP’s initiatives like the Ladli Bahna Yojana. Despite Congress’s claims, the scheme continues to support 1.29 crore women, with the November installment set to be disbursed soon.

Congress Criticized for Alleged Disregard of Cultural Values

The Chief Minister expressed concern that Congress does not align with the country’s traditional values, criticizing their resistance to customs such as Govardhan Puja and delays in the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. He emphasized, “Those who do not stand with Ram, stand for nothing.” Drawing on cultural references, he labeled Congress as “following the path of Kansa,” while asserting that BJP supporters should follow Lord Krishna’s example by pressing the lotus symbol on the voting machine to support BJP’s victory. Dr. Yadav warned Congress that their attempt to exploit the Gandhi name for votes would fail, as he assured voters of the BJP’s commitment to upholding values and fostering progress.

Prominent BJP Leaders Join the Gathering

The event was attended by various BJP dignitaries, including Minister Krishna Gaur, Vice President Kantadev Singh, former Minister Rampal Singh, District President Ravi Malviya, BJP candidate Ramakant Bhargava, spokesperson Rajpal Singh Sisodia, and co-media in-charge Sachin Saxena, along with other party leaders and supporters.
