Leela Bai Yadav, a resident of Bafna village, works as a Mitanin (community health worker). Through the Mahatari Vandan Yojana, she receives financial assistance every month. Leela shares, “This scheme brings me joy as the government is helping us manage household expenses, making it easier to cover daily needs.” Leela’s family includes three children—two daughters and a son. Her eldest son works at a showroom, providing some financial help to the family, while one daughter runs a small hotel with her father. The youngest daughter is currently pursuing a computer course. With the help of this scheme, Leela has been able to improve her family’s standard of living.
### Relief in Household Expenses for Shailendri Poyam
Shailendri Poyam, a homemaker from the village of Koleksa Para in Bafna, belongs to a family that mainly relies on agriculture. Her family of seven depends on farming their six acres of land. The Mahatari Vandan Yojana’s financial aid helps Shailendri meet her family’s needs, providing relief in household expenses and ensuring a happy and balanced family life.
### Hitendri Devangan’s Support for Children’s Education
Hitendri Devangan, an Anganwadi worker from Koleksa Para in Bafna, receives ₹1,000 per month through the Mahatari Vandan Yojana. She expressed her happiness, stating, “Receiving this amount from the hands of President Murmu before Diwali is a matter of pride for us. This support allows us to fulfill small needs like buying sweets and crackers for the children during Diwali.” Hitendri lives in a joint family of 17 members, all of whom rely on farming. They cultivate maize during the summer, generating a little additional income.
Hitendri highlighted that the financial assistance from the scheme helps her and her sister-in-law support each other during tough times, reducing any potential family disputes. She has two daughters and regularly deposits money for them in the Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana. She shares that the Mahatari Vandan Yojana has been a lifeline during financial crunches, eliminating the need to borrow money. The scheme has significantly improved their living conditions, helping her meet educational expenses and other essential needs for her daughters.
