New Freeganj Bridge to Be 21 Meters Wide

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav participated in a free (Integrated) Yoga Camp organized at the Home Guard Ground in Ujjain on Thursday morning. The event was held under the guidance of Dr. Swami Parmarth Dev Maharaj, a disciple of Yoga Guru Swami Ramdev Baba. Speaking at the event, Dr. Yadav emphasized, “Yoga is achieved through dedication, not assistance. Everyone should walk on the path of yoga as it changes the direction of our lives.”
While addressing the gathering after practicing yoga, Dr. Yadav announced that the new Freeganj Bridge would be constructed with a width of 21 meters to enhance infrastructure in the region.
Ujjain: A Blessed Land
Dr. Yadav lauded Ujjain residents, calling them fortunate to live in the sacred city associated with Lord Mahakal and Lord Krishna’s teachings. He stressed the importance of maintaining the human body gifted by the Almighty, noting that yoga has been a vital practice in Indian tradition since ancient times.
Highlighting the contributions of Swami Ramdev Baba, Dr. Yadav remarked that yoga has gained immense popularity not only in India but also globally. He further announced that June 21 will be celebrated as Yoga Day and December 21 as Meditation Day, both significant dates marking the transitions of Uttarayan and Dakshinayan.
Preserving Heritage Alongside Progress
Dr. Yadav acknowledged the continuous development of Ujjain and the state, stating that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is advancing steadily by balancing materialistic progress with its ancient heritage.
He emphasized that yoga eliminates negative thoughts and social evils, urging everyone to focus on performing good deeds as life is finite. He highlighted the recent developmental milestones achieved in Ujjain and the government’s plans for further improvements.
New Location for Home Guard
Considering preparations for Simhastha 2028, Dr. Yadav directed the district administration to allocate a new location for the Home Guard. He praised the commendable service provided by the Home Guard personnel and emphasized addressing all pending issues.
The event saw the presence of State Coordinator of Bharat Swabhiman Rajendra Arya, Home Guard personnel, SDRF personnel, their families, Civil Defense Volunteers, Disaster Response Friends, several social organizations, and senior citizens.
