Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, speaking at the grand “Abhyuday Madhya Pradesh” event at Lal Parade Ground, highlighted that over the past two years, the state has accomplished many feats once deemed impossible. From achieving an impressive 24% industrial growth rate to initiating groundbreaking cultural, infrastructural, and environmental projects, Madhya Pradesh is redefining the contours of progress and inclusivity.
The state is rapidly expanding its industrial landscape, with multiple new projects completed and substantial advancements in the establishment of airports in Datia, Satna, Rewa, and Ujjain. On the occasion of the 70th Foundation Day, the launch of PM Shri helicopter tourism service further cemented Madhya Pradesh as a pioneer in intrastate air connectivity, another national first.
Cultural heritage remains at the heart of these celebrations. The state has enhanced its status as a destination for spiritual and cultural tourism, with Ujjain alone welcoming seven crore pilgrims and tourists. Initiatives for the development of Chitrakoot and the addition of Omkareshwar as the 27th wildlife sanctuary reflect the government’s commitment to blending tradition with modernity.
The Prime Minister’s leadership has also steered vital multi state irrigation projects like Ken Betwa, Parvati Kali Sindh Chambal, and the Tapti Mega Project, expanding irrigation, securing water for industries, and boosting rural livelihoods. The government’s resolve is evident in bold targets, doubling the state budget and making Madhya Pradesh a model for industry led growth, tourism, and holistic development over the next five years.
The 70th Foundation Day celebration spanned three days, featuring music, drone shows, dance, dramatic narrations of Vikramaditya’s legends, fireworks, and exhibitions on state progress. The events showcased how the state has harmonized heritage and innovation, making every citizen feel part of the journey from tradition to tomorrow.
Dr. Yadav concluded by calling on citizens to carry forward the spirit of progress, embrace new dreams, and become active participants in building a confident, self reliant, and culturally vibrant Madhya Pradesh for generations to come.
