Raipur, December 9, 2024 In a bid to simplify and enhance the visitor experience, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai inaugurated the Swagatam Portal, designed to facilitate smooth and hassle-free access to the Chhattisgarh Secretariat. This innovative platform has made it significantly easier for citizens to meet officials at the Mahanadi Bhavan Ministry.

Shri Nitin Wale, a resident of Raipur, shared his positive experience using the Swagatam Portal during his visit to meet a secretary for a personal matter. He explained that after registering on the portal, entering his personal details, the purpose of his visit, and the meeting time, he instantly received a confirmation message along with an e-pass.

Simplified Entry Process with Enhanced Security

The portal’s user-friendly process ensures that visitors, upon identity verification at the entrance, gain seamless entry into the Secretariat. Shri Wale appreciated this initiative, noting that the portal not only saves time but also strengthens security by maintaining a digital record of visitor details. He expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai for implementing this progressive system.

By digitizing the visitor management process, the Swagatam Portal has streamlined administrative operations while bridging the gap between the government and the public. Shri Wale emphasized that such technological advancements reflect the government’s commitment to transparency and accessibility, making governance more citizen-centric.

A Leap Towards E-Governance

The Swagatam Portal is part of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai’s larger vision of promoting e-governance in Chhattisgarh. Along with Swagatam, the government recently launched two other portals—e-Office System and the Chief Minister’s Office Online Portal—to enhance efficiency, transparency, and accessibility in government operations.

This initiative not only boosts administrative productivity but also reinforces the government’s efforts towards achieving good governance. By integrating technology into everyday processes, the portals collectively symbolize a progressive step towards a more inclusive and efficient system, where citizens can easily connect with their government.

Swagatam Portal, with its seamless functionality and security measures, has emerged as a model for other states to follow, demonstrating how technology can foster stronger ties between governance and the public.
