While some beneficiaries are achieving economic self-reliance, others, like Gomti Jurrī from Basant Nagar, are using the funds from this scheme to save for a secure future.
Gomti Jurrī, a resident of Bhanupratappur development block, has received nine installments of ₹1,000 each under the scheme, totaling ₹9,000 in her bank account. She plans to use this saved amount for a major expense in the future, as she continues to accumulate the funds.
Gomti, who works as a domestic help for a teacher couple, is utilizing the monthly stipend from the Mahatari Vandan Yojana to build a savings fund that will help her in securing her family’s future. She expressed her gratitude to Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai for implementing this ambitious plan, which she believes will help many women like herself create a better future.
Through the Mahatari Vandan Yojana, women in the district are not only receiving financial support but are also learning the importance of saving and planning for long-term needs, empowering them to make informed decisions about their future.
