Prays for Prosperity and Welfare of the State with Govardhan and Cow Worship

Bhopal, Saturday, November , 2024,: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav emphasized that Lord Krishna, through his divine pastimes and life teachings, has highlighted the importance of nature, cattle, and village culture. He stated that every aspect of Lord Krishna’s life is inspirational and teaches us that humans possess the capacity to overcome all challenges. Dr. Yadav mentioned that to promote Lord Krishna’s ideals for the welfare of society, the government has initiated cow and Govardhan worship. He expressed these views while addressing a district-level event commemorating Govardhan Puja and Madhya Pradesh Foundation Day at Lal Tipara Model Cowshed in Gwalior.

At the event, Dr. Yadav performed rituals with Vedic chants, worshiping an 11-foot-tall Govardhan Hill and an 8-foot-tall Lord Krishna statue, both made from 108 tons of cow dung. He also prayed for the prosperity and well-being of Gwalior and the entire state. Additionally, he worshiped the cows, fed them fresh grass, and sought their blessings. The festive atmosphere at Lal Tipara, with a majestic Govardhan Hill made from cow dung, adorned cows, and children dressed as cowherds, evoked a scene reminiscent of Vrindavan. Dr. Yadav also honored saints present at the ceremony.

**Lal Tipara Cowshed Will Set a National Benchmark**

Dr. Yadav praised the Lal Tipara Model Cowshed, stating that it serves as a model not only for the state but for the entire country. He acknowledged the significant contributions of Krishnaayan Cowshed’s saints in making it exemplary. Highlighting the Indian Oil Corporation’s support in establishing a CNG gas plant there, he said this would make the cowshed self-sufficient, using cow dung for fuel production, which would power municipal vehicles and promote organic farming. He assured Saint Achyutanand Ji that the government would earnestly consider his suggestions for the cowshed’s expansion and invited him to visit Bhopal.

**Indian Cow Breeds Making Global Impact**

Dr. Yadav discussed the unparalleled nutritional benefits of cow milk, emphasizing its potential to combat malnutrition. He highlighted the global recognition of the importance of Indian cattle, citing how the Gir breed from Gujarat transformed Brazil’s dairy industry. He explained that cows hold not just religious but also economic significance for millions of Indians. Products derived from cows, like the Panchgavya (milk, curd, ghee, dung, and urine), are widely used for health and wellness, playing a vital role in Ayurveda.

**Large-Scale Cowsheds Planned Across Major Divisions**

The Chief Minister announced that the state government is promoting cattle rearing and protection. He shared plans to establish large cowsheds in major cities like Indore, Bhopal, Ujjain, and Gwalior, with facilities to accommodate up to 10,000 cattle. Additionally, individuals rearing more than ten cows would receive government incentives to encourage cattle farming.

**Shared Responsibility for Cow Protection: Minister Kushwah**

Horticulture Minister Narayan Singh Kushwah emphasized the collective responsibility of cow protection, urging citizens to support government efforts in caring for stray cattle. He noted that the government’s initiatives would succeed only with public cooperation.

**Benefits to Gwalior from CNG Plant: Energy Minister Tomar**

Energy Minister Pradyumn Singh Tomar highlighted the advantages the CNG gas plant at Lal Tipara would bring to Gwalior, including powering municipal vehicles. He also called for citizens to contribute to making Gwalior the cleanest city in the country, pledging support for the city’s development under Dr. Yadav’s leadership.

**Promoting Organic Farming: MP Kushwah**

MP Bharat Singh Kushwah lauded the cowshed’s contribution to cow welfare on a national level, mentioning the benefits of the CNG plant and organic fertilizers produced there, which would boost organic farming and the cowshed’s income. He stated that Prime Minister Modi’s vision of preserving heritage while promoting development is being realized under Dr. Yadav’s governance.

**Cultural Programs Mesmerize Audience**

The district-level event on November 2, marking Govardhan Puja and Madhya Pradesh Foundation Day, featured captivating cultural performances. Groups from Mathura-Vrindavan showcased dances depicting Lord Krishna’s pastimes. Indian Idol fame Shini Kalvint enchanted the audience with a devotional Govardhan Aarti. Additionally, a special performance by the Special Armed Police Band and classical music and dance by students from Raja Mansingh Tomar Music & Art University added to the grandeur. Traditional sports competitions like painting, Malkhamb, and Sitolia were also organized.

**Honoring Dedicated Cow Caregivers**

During the celebration, Dr. Yadav honored cow caregivers and service-oriented individuals. Awards included the Cow Caregiver Honor for Anand Tiwari and the Cow Dung Craftsperson Honor for Mamta Kushwah. Other awardees included Vivek for organic farming, Dilip Goyal for crafting the Govardhan statue, and Bhagwat reciter Jitendra, alongside others contributing to cow welfare.

**Appreciation for Cow-Based Product Exhibition**

An exhibition at the event showcased various products made from cow milk and dung, including Panchgavya items and decorative pieces by self-help groups under the State Rural Livelihood Mission. Dr. Yadav and other dignitaries visited the stalls and praised the exhibition.

**Chief Minister’s Affection for a Child Dressed as Krishna**

Upon arriving at Lal Tipara Cowshed, Dr. Yadav warmly interacted with a group of children dressed as cowherds. He lovingly picked up a child dressed as little Krishna, showering him with affection.
