Bhopal, November 12, 2024, In a cabinet meeting led by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, several key decisions were made to support industrial expansion, renewable energy research, government employee benefits, and infrastructure enhancements in Madhya Pradesh.
**Industrial Expansion in Mohasa-Babai Region**
The cabinet approved an expansion of the Mohasa-Babai industrial area in Narmadapuram district to promote manufacturing in the renewable energy sector. An additional 214.42 acres were incorporated into the previously reserved 227.54 acres, expanding the industrial park to a total area of 441.96 acres. This expansion aims to support the production of electrical and renewable energy equipment.
**Land Allocation for Solar and Renewable Energy Research Center**
The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Bhopal has been allocated 21.494 hectares of land in Bhouri village, Bhopal, for establishing a solar and renewable energy research center. This center will focus on enhancing solar cell efficiency, reducing energy loss, and advancing global research in renewable energy sources like wind power.
**Retirement Benefits for Government Employees**
The cabinet approved a policy to provide hypothetical annual salary increments for government employees retiring on June 30 or December 31. Employees retiring on June 30 will receive an increment effective from July 1, while those retiring on December 31 will receive it from January 1. The benefit applies to pensions from May 1, 2023, onward. Cases pending in courts will be handled according to the final government decisions.
**New Building for Commercial Tax Department in Indore**
The Madhya Pradesh Financial Corporation will transfer a newly constructed building in Indore to the Commercial Tax Department at a valuation of INR 150 crore. The department will carry out necessary repairs and obtain a completion certificate from Indore Municipal Corporation before commencing operations in the new facility.
These decisions reflect the Madhya Pradesh government’s commitment to industrial growth, renewable energy advancement, enhanced benefits for retiring employees, and infrastructure improvements.
