Jaipur, November 29, 2024 Kishangarh Railway Station is set to witness a historic moment on Saturday night, November 30, when the Vande Bharat Express (20977/20978) halts there for the first time during its journey from Chandigarh to Ajmer via Jaipur. Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, and Ajmer MP, Bhagirath Choudhary, will lead the ceremonial welcome of the train, accompanied by railway officials, local representatives, and supporters.

The minister will greet the train staff, offer sweets, and flag off the train as it resumes its journey. The train will have a scheduled stop at Kishangarh at 6:30 AM on its Ajmer to Chandigarh route and at 11 PM on its return from Chandigarh to Ajmer.

Efforts Behind the Stop Approval

This much-awaited stoppage was recently approved by the Railway Board following Minister Choudhary’s persistent efforts and recommendations. The move fulfills a long-standing demand of local entrepreneurs, social activists, tourists, and residents of the Kishangarh region.

Boost to Local Development

Expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Rail Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, Minister Choudhary remarked that this new halt would serve as a milestone for Kishangarh’s development. Besides benefiting local residents with modern rail services, it will significantly boost the marble industry and tourism.

He also credited the collaborative efforts of local citizens, including notable figures like social worker Ashok Patni, for making this possible. The minister assured continued efforts to enhance facilities at other key stations in the Ajmer parliamentary constituency.

The Vande Bharat Express is expected to arrive at Kishangarh at approximately 11 PM, marking a memorable moment for the region.
