Bhopal, November 25, 2024, Governor Mangubhai Patel lauded the selfless service efforts of Aarogya Bharati at the National Physiotherapy Program held at Ravindra Bhavan, Bhopal. Addressing the gathering, the Governor encouraged physiotherapy students and practitioners to draw inspiration from Aarogya Bharati’s dedication and actively participate in serving the underprivileged and suffering individuals.


Promoting Health and Physiotherapy

Governor Patel emphasized the role of physiotherapy in offering holistic health solutions without relying on medication or surgery. He urged physiotherapy experts and professionals to explore its potential in treating and researching conditions like sickle cell anemia.

Highlighting the need for a healthy lifestyle, he advised the youth to incorporate nutritious food, regular exercise, yoga, adequate hydration, and sufficient sleep into their routines.


Physiotherapy’s Role in Public Health

  • Support for Modi’s Vision: The Governor stated that physiotherapy could significantly contribute to achieving Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “Health for All”.
  • Research and Documentation: He stressed the importance of effective documentation, research, and promotion of physiotherapy practices to increase awareness and accessibility.
  • Bridging the Gap: Governor Patel called for efforts to make physiotherapy services available to the underprivileged, highlighting the leadership role Aarogya Bharati can play in this area.

Program Highlights

The event began with the ceremonial garlanding of portraits of Lord Dhanvantari and Bharat Mata. Governor Patel was honored with a token of appreciation by Aarogya Bharati’s executive president.

  • Dr. Ashok Kumar Varshney: Aarogya Bharati’s National Secretary, shared insights into the organization’s initiatives.

  • Dr. Ajay Goenka: Chairman of Chirayu Medical University, offered his perspective on advancing physiotherapy education.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. P.R. Suresh. Physiotherapy students, practitioners, and experts attended the event.
