Bhopal, November , 2024: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to resolving pending dues for workers from Gwalior’s JC Mill, following the example of Indore’s Hukumchand Mill and Ujjain’s Vinod Mill. Speaking during a visit to the closed JC Mill in Gwalior, Dr. Yadav stated that the government is determined to provide justice to over 8,000 workers affected by the mill’s prolonged closure. This includes a comprehensive survey of JC Mill’s land and assets to facilitate worker settlements.
Dr. Yadav was warmly welcomed by the JC Mill workers and their families, who expressed gratitude, noting that this is the first time a Chief Minister has directly addressed their grievances. The workers shared that they now feel hopeful about receiving their long-overdue dues. Energy Minister Pradyumn Singh Tomar, who was also present, extended his thanks to the Chief Minister on behalf of the workers.
Emphasizing the government’s focus on resolution rather than litigation, Dr. Yadav assured workers that the state would advocate for their interests in court to expedite the payment process. He mentioned that officials have been instructed to oversee the proper distribution of entitlements.
Dr. Yadav praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of identifying the poor, women, youth, and farmers as the pillars of the nation. He reiterated the state’s commitment to uplifting these groups.
**IT Sector Expansion in Gwalior**
The Chief Minister also highlighted plans to promote the IT sector in Gwalior, ensuring local talent has opportunities within the city. He announced initiatives to attract IT-based enterprises to the region, reducing the need for young IT professionals to seek employment outside Gwalior.
**Boosting Industrial Investment Through Regional Conclaves**
Dr. Yadav further discussed ongoing efforts to attract industrial investment across the state, with regional industry conclaves already held in Ujjain, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Sagar, and Rewa. Upcoming conclaves will take place in Narmadapuram in December and Shahdol in January. After these events, a Global Investor Summit will be held in February, inviting global entrepreneurs to invest in Madhya Pradesh. To promote this, Dr. Yadav shared plans for an upcoming tour to Germany and the UK.
Dr. Yadav expressed optimism about these initiatives, citing the state’s growing industry-friendly environment, which has already generated substantial employment opportunities for the youth of Madhya Pradesh.
