Dehradun, October 5, 2026: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami distributed appointment letters to 332 newly recruited personnel at a programme held at the Mukhya Sevak Sadan in the Chief Minister’s Camp Office.

The appointments include:

CG
  • 271 personnel for the Ayush Department.
  • 61 allopathic pharmacy officers under the Employees’ State Insurance Scheme.

Congratulating the new recruits, Dhami urged them to perform their duties with compassion, sensitivity and dedication.

Public Service Beyond a Job

Dhami said receiving an appointment letter is an important milestone in a young person’s life, but it also marks the beginning of a new responsibility toward public service.

He urged the new personnel not to view government employment merely as a job. Instead, he asked them to use their responsibilities as a means of bringing positive change to people living at the last mile.

The Chief Minister said employees connected with the Ayush Department and the Employees’ State Insurance Scheme have a direct role in protecting people’s health and improving their quality of life.

He encouraged the new recruits to set an example through their conduct wherever they are posted. Every person visiting a hospital or health centre arrives with hope, he said, and an honest effort and correct decision by a health worker can make a major difference to someone in need.

Transparent Recruitment

Dhami said the state government has taken effective steps to make recruitment transparent and fair. Along with strict action against examination mafias, a stringent anti-copying law has also been implemented.

He said Uttarakhand’s young people are now receiving opportunities in government services based on merit and hard work. More than 35,000 young people have secured government jobs in the past five years, he added.

According to the Chief Minister, this reflects the government’s commitment to a transparent recruitment system.

Uttarakhand as an Ayush and Wellness Hub

Dhami said Uttarakhand is not only known as Devbhoomi but also has a rich tradition of yoga, Ayurveda and medicinal herbs.

The state government is working to develop Uttarakhand as a model Ayush state and a global wellness hub. Ayush services are being expanded across all districts, Panchakarma services are being modernised and Ayurveda Centres of Excellence are being established.

He also highlighted:

  • Specialist consultations through e-Sanjeevani from home.
  • The Ayush Setu portal.
  • Expanded Ayush services across the state.
  • Modernised Panchakarma facilities.
  • New centres focused on Ayurvedic excellence.

ESI Healthcare Expansion

The Chief Minister said healthcare services under the Employees’ State Insurance Scheme are also being expanded.

Previously, the scheme operated in six districts; it has now been extended to all 13 districts of Uttarakhand.

A 100-bed ESI hospital has started operating in Rudrapur, while construction of a 300-bed ESI hospital is under way in Haridwar. Land has also been identified for an ESI hospital in Kashipur.

Dhami added that recruitment of 47 new medical officers is in its final stage to further strengthen healthcare delivery.

Accessible Healthcare for All

The Chief Minister said the government’s goal is to provide every resident with better and easily accessible healthcare facilities.

He expressed confidence that the energy and capabilities of the newly appointed personnel would contribute significantly to the government’s commitment to building a developed and empowered Uttarakhand.

Ayush and Ayush Education Minister Madan Kaushik also congratulated the recruits and said the government is working continuously to make Ayush services stronger and more accessible to the public.

Rajya Sabha MP Naresh Bansal, MLA Umesh Sharma Kau, MLA Savita Kapoor, senior departmental officials and representatives of the Ayush, Labour and health departments attended the programme.
