Raipur, November 27, 2024 Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Law & Legislative Affairs, Shri Arun Saw, emphasized the importance of balancing constitutional rights with duties during a program organized on Constitution Day at Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU), Naya Raipur. Addressing faculty members and students, he underlined that the Indian Constitution, with its foundational principles, stands as a guiding scripture for the nation.
Constitution’s Preamble: The Soul of the Nation
Shri Saw highlighted the significance of the Preamble, calling it the soul of the Constitution. He stated, “The core values and principles of our Constitution are enshrined in its Preamble, and it is the supreme document of governance for our country.”
Focus on Fundamental Duties
The Deputy CM urged citizens and students to give equal importance to fundamental duties, often overlooked in discussions centered around constitutional rights. He conducted a reading of the Constitution’s Preamble with the students and encouraged them to uphold the spirit of responsibility towards the nation.
Launch of ‘CG Learn’ Logo
During the event, Shri Saw launched the logo for ‘CG Learn,’ a new initiative aimed at enhancing legal education and research in Chhattisgarh. He described it as a transformative step for the state’s legal sector, fostering collaboration between legal education institutions and promoting knowledge-sharing.
“Through CG Learn, we aim to establish a new benchmark in legal education and research, enabling students and faculty to contribute meaningfully to the field of law,” said Shri Saw.
Strengthening Legal Education in Chhattisgarh
Shri Saw encouraged educational institutions in the state to engage in collaborative dialogues to improve the quality of legal education. “When all institutions work together, legal education in Chhattisgarh will reach new heights, bringing recognition to the state at the national level,” he remarked.
