Bhopal, 29 October 2024, – Promoting the “Vocal for Local” initiative, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav purchased earthen lamps from artisans Sunil, Lucky Prajapati, and Bablu Prajapati near T.T. Nagar Stadium on the occasion of Dhanteras. During his visit, he inquired about their well-being and supported their business by buying traditional lamps. The artisans expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister for waiving market fees for street vendors during the festive season.

Speaking to the media, Dr. Yadav announced that no market fees will be charged from street vendors in all urban and rural areas from Dhanteras to Ekadashi. He stated, “This decision was made by the state government to ensure that everyone can celebrate the Diwali festival with joy and enthusiasm.” The Chief Minister emphasized that this step aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of promoting the “Vocal for Local” initiative, which encourages support for local artisans and small businesses.
This initiative aims to create an inclusive festive atmosphere while providing relief and promoting local craftsmanship.
