Chhattisgarh Government Follows the Path of Public Welfare Inspired by Lord Sahasrabahu: Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai

Raipur, November 8, 2024: Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai attended the celebration of Lord Sahasrabahu Jayanti organized by the Kalar community at the Katghora block headquarters in Korba district. During his address, he highlighted the government’s commitment to public welfare, inspired by Lord Sahasrabahu, who exemplified a righteous and benevolent leadership. Chief Minister Sai emphasized that his government is following these ideals, working towards the well-being and prosperity of the people of Chhattisgarh.

### Announcement of a 100-Bed Hospital in Katghora

In a significant announcement, Chief Minister Sai declared the expansion of healthcare facilities in Katghora, upgrading the Community Health Center to a 100-bed hospital. He also announced that a prominent intersection on the Katghora-Ambikapur National Highway near Chakchakwa Hill will be named after Lord Sahasrabahu, and the Katghora rest house will be upgraded.

Chief Minister Sai praised the Kalar community for its contributions, noting that many young members now hold prominent positions. He acknowledged Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision to make India a developed nation by 2047 and assured that Chhattisgarh is making strides toward this goal. The Kalar community, along with other communities, will play a significant role in the state’s progress.

### Key Government Initiatives

The Chief Minister outlined various initiatives under “Modi’s Guarantees,” implemented immediately after the government was formed. These include purchasing paddy at ₹3,100 per quintal and up to 21 quintals per acre, paying overdue bonuses from the past two years, and raising the wage rate for tendu leaf collection from ₹4,000 to ₹5,500 per standard bag. Under the Mahatari Vandan Yojana, 70 lakh women in the state receive ₹1,000 per month, and construction of PM Awas homes has started following the release of funds. Additionally, the Ram Lalla Darshan Yojana has been launched to benefit pilgrims. With this year’s favorable rainfall, paddy procurement is set to begin on November 14, with well-prepared systems to ensure farmers face no difficulties.

### Social Initiatives and Support for Education

The Chief Minister commended the community leaders for organizing a youth introduction event at the program venue, which would help families connect and foster new relationships. He also congratulated the outstanding students from the community who were honored at the event, encouraging them to contribute significantly to the community’s development.

### Remarks by Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal

Presiding over the event, Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal acknowledged the historical contributions of the Kalchuris to Chhattisgarh’s development, evident through the region’s inscriptions and archeological heritage. He emphasized that Chhattisgarh, created under former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, is now advancing under Chief Minister Sai’s leadership.

The event saw the participation of Industry, Commerce, and Labor Minister Lakhanlal Devangan, Katghora Municipal Corporation President Ratan Mittal, Kalar community leaders including President Ramgopal Dixena, former MLA Vinay Jaiswal, Vikas Mahato, Rajiv Singh, and a large gathering from the community.
