When the Virtuous Lead, Destiny Aligns:

Bhopal“When leaders uphold righteousness, even destiny supports their cause.” With these words, BJP spokesperson Dr. Durgesh Keswani reflected on the transformational journey India has witnessed under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. Over the last 11 years, the country has moved beyond routine governance into an era of purposeful nation-building.

Dr. Keswani remarked that the Modi administration has systematically uplifted sections of society that were historically overlooked — from farmers and students to women, youth, and the armed forces. These groups now actively shape the vision of a self-reliant and developed India.

From Preserving Heritage to Driving Progress

Dr. Keswani emphasized how India is redefining modernity by anchoring it in cultural pride. Grand initiatives such as the rejuvenation of Shri Mahakal Lok, Kedarnath Dham, the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, and the Statue of Unity are not only preserving historical and spiritual identity but also integrating it with development. These landmarks symbolize a confident nation drawing strength from its roots while building for the future.

Decisive Shifts in National Security and Diplomacy

India’s defense landscape has undergone a strategic overhaul, Dr. Keswani said. Defense exports have soared to ₹23,622 crore — a thirty-fourfold rise since 2014. With over 5,000 indigenous items now listed for procurement and three-fourths of the defense capital outlay dedicated to domestic manufacturing, India is steadily moving towards defense self-sufficiency.

He highlighted military missions like Operation Sindoori, which neutralized over 100 terrorists, and global evacuation efforts such as Operation Kaveri and the Ukraine rescue, which brought back more than 25,500 Indians safely. The abrogation of Articles 370 and 35A in Jammu & Kashmir dismantled long-standing barriers, leading to a drop in terrorist incidents from 417 in 2018 to just 43 in 2023.

Global Standing Boosted by Humanitarian Leadership

Dr. Keswani noted that India emerged as a responsible global force, particularly during the COVID-19 crisis. The Vande Bharat Mission facilitated the return of over 1.8 crore Indians stranded abroad. Simultaneously, the Vaccine Maitri initiative delivered more than 30 crore vaccine doses to over 100 nations, including 2 lakh doses gifted to UN peacekeepers — enhancing India’s image as a global humanitarian leader.

Game-Changing Reforms for Farmers

Highlighting agricultural reforms, Dr. Keswani shared that the Modi government significantly increased investment in the farm sector. The agriculture budget for 2025–26 is expected to be five times higher than that of 2013–14. Under PM-KISAN, ₹3.7 lakh crore has been transferred directly to farmers. Purchases of pulses at Minimum Support Price have risen by an astounding 7,350%.

To further empower rural economies, over 10,000 Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) have been formed. 25 crore+ Soil Health Cards have improved crop productivity, and under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, claims worth ₹1.75 lakh crore have been settled.

Empowering Women through Structural Reforms

According to Dr. Keswani, women empowerment has become a defining focus of the Modi government. The Ujjwala Yojana provided over 10 crore free LPG connections to women. 68% of Mudra Loan recipients and 74% of Stand-Up India beneficiaries are women entrepreneurs.

In the PM Awas Yojana, 73% of homes have been registered in women’s names. Women were also granted 33% reservation in legislatures via the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam. Other significant milestones include granting permanent commissions to women in armed forces, extending maternity leave from 12 to 26 weeks, creating 4.2 crore Sukanya Samriddhi accounts, and improving the gender ratio to 1020:1000.

Transforming Education and Skill Ecosystems

Dr. Keswani spoke about education reforms including the implementation of the New Education Policy 2020 — the first major overhaul in three decades. Over 1.6 crore youth have been trained under the PM Skill Development Mission, and 14,500+ schools have seen infrastructure upgrades for better learning outcomes.

Conclusion: Laying the Foundation of a New India

Dr. Keswani concluded by stating that under PM Modi’s leadership, India has not only launched welfare schemes but taken generational decisions. These policies have brought lasting change to the lives of farmers, women, students, soldiers, and youth.

“This is not just the governance of a government — it is the rise of a resurgent nation. India today walks with confidence, rooted in its culture and committed to a globally influential future,” he said.
