Raipur, November 7, 2024: At the 24th Rajyotsav celebration held at the Pt. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Commercial Complex in Atal Nagar, Nava Raipur, the Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development Department’s stall emerged as a focal point of attraction for visitors. Crowds gathered from the beginning of the event to view the department’s exhibits, which showcased the vibrant theme “Tribal Pride: Valor and Culture.” On the second day, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai visited the stall, appreciating the display and capturing a memorable photo with his family at the dedicated selfie zone. Principal Secretary Sonamani Bora warmly welcomed him and provided detailed insights into the exhibition’s theme.
Following the guidance of Departmental Minister Ramvichar Netam, the exhibit this year brought the theme “Tribal Pride: Valor and Culture” to life. Principal Secretary Sonamani Bora and Secretary-Commissioner Narendra Kumar Dugga supervised the exhibit, which captivated visitors with its stunning portrayal of tribal valor and cultural heritage.
The exhibition featured a glimpse of tribal uprisings that took place in Chhattisgarh during the freedom movement, highlighting the bravery and resilience of the tribal communities. Alongside, the rich cultural heritage of the tribes was represented through displays of traditional jewelry, folklore, and departmental initiatives showcased on informational banners. The Tribal Research and Training Institute also displayed publications from research conducted in tribal areas, offering visitors a chance to deepen their understanding of tribal life.
To inform visitors about various welfare initiatives, brochures detailing the programs run by the Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development Department were available at the stall. Additionally, a selfie zone themed around “Tribal Pride Day” and “Dharti Aaba Tribal Village Upliftment Campaign” invited visitors to take memorable photos, making the experience both educational and memorable. Through these interactive displays, attendees not only learned about ongoing tribal welfare initiatives but also celebrated the vibrant legacy of Chhattisgarh’s tribal communities.
