With the significant influx of passengers during major festivals like Diwali and Chhath, Western Railway implemented special measures at Udhna Railway Station from October 24 to November 4, 2024. To accommodate the surge in travelers and ensure a safe and convenient journey, a total of 104 special trains were operated. Among these, 44 were fully unreserved holiday specials, catering specifically to the demand from general category travelers. Furthermore, three large holding areas of 2,700 square feet, 10,125 square feet, and 3,150 square feet were set up to manage crowds efficiently. These areas were equipped with adequate lighting, fans, restrooms, and drinking water facilities, creating a comfortable waiting environment for travelers.

**Prioritizing Passenger Safety:**
Security at Udhna Station was heightened with 24-hour CCTV surveillance. Additional personnel from the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP) were stationed to help manage queues and guide passengers safely to the platforms. Plainclothes patrol teams from RPF and GRP monitored the crowd and were prepared to respond swiftly to any emergency.

To reduce unnecessary congestion on the platforms, the sale of platform tickets was temporarily suspended, allowing only genuine travelers into the station premises. Additionally, non-governmental organizations contributed to the effort by distributing water, biscuits, and light refreshments to passengers, offering much-needed relief during the waiting periods. The support from local groups played a significant role in effective crowd management.
