Support that keeps a daughter’s education on track

For families dependent on skilled but irregular work, the cost of education can become a major concern. A sculptor’s income may depend on orders, making it difficult to plan for school fees, books and other expenses. The Chief Minister Noni Sashaktikaran Sahayata Yojana addresses this need by providing financial assistance to eligible daughters of registered workers in Chhattisgarh.

Aishwarya, daughter of sculptor Manoj Kumar Gangber of Loharsi village in Dhamtari district, has received 20,000 Rupees under the scheme. The amount was transferred directly to her bank account after verification of documents and eligibility. For her family, the support has eased the pressure of education-related expenses and allowed her father to focus more confidently on his work.

The value of such assistance lies in its timing. When a family’s income is limited or uncertain, education is often the first area where expenses become difficult to manage. A timely grant can help a student continue her studies without interruption. It also sends an important message: a daughter’s education should not be treated as a burden, but as an investment in her future.

The scheme supports the broader goal of empowering daughters of worker families. Financial help can reduce immediate hardship, but its long-term impact depends on whether students receive guidance for higher education, skills and career opportunities. Awareness about eligibility, simple application procedures and timely disbursal are equally important so that support reaches those who need it most.

Manoj Kumar’s experience shows how social security can respond to a real family need. The 20,000 Rupee assistance may not solve every financial challenge, but it can keep a young student’s education moving forward. When daughters of working families receive such support, it strengthens not only individual aspirations but also the wider goal of women’s self-reliance.
