Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said the state government’s goal is not limited to providing government jobs to young people. It is also working to help them become job creators through self-employment, startups, skill development and entrepreneurship.
He said Uttarakhand’s youth have talent, energy and the ability to build successful careers. With the right training, financial support, mentorship and opportunities, they can create enterprises that generate employment for others as well.
The government is therefore promoting startup ideas, vocational training, self-employment schemes and entrepreneurship programmes across the state. These initiatives are intended to help young people turn their skills and innovations into sustainable sources of income.
Dhami said the focus is also on creating opportunities in rural and hill areas so that young people do not have to leave their villages in search of work. Local products, tourism, technology, agriculture, handicrafts and other emerging sectors can provide strong platforms for youth-led businesses.
The Chief Minister added that an empowered and self-reliant youth population will play a central role in building a stronger Uttarakhand and contributing to the vision of a developed India.
