Updates Prime Minister on State Government’s Achievements Over the Past Year
Bhopal: Tuesday, December 10, 2024, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Parliament House in New Delhi on Tuesday. During the courtesy meeting, Dr. Yadav extended a formal invitation to the Prime Minister for two major upcoming events in Madhya Pradesh:
- The Global Investors Summit (GIS) to be held in Bhopal in February 2025, and
- The groundbreaking ceremony of the Ken-Betwa River Linking Project.
The Chief Minister also briefed the Prime Minister on the state government’s initiatives and achievements over the past year, seeking guidance and support.
Major Initiatives Shared with PM Modi
Dr. Yadav informed the Prime Minister about two significant programs being launched to mark the completion of one year of the government’s tenure:
- Chief Minister’s Public Welfare Festival (CM Jan-Kalyan Parv):
- Scheduled from December 11 to 26, 2024, this program will highlight the state’s holistic development and public welfare initiatives.
- Chief Minister’s Public Welfare Campaign (CM Jan-Kalyan Abhiyan):
- Running from December 11, 2024, to January 26, 2025, the campaign focuses on the empowerment of four key pillars of development:
- Youth,
- Women,
- Farmers, and
- The Poor.
- The campaign aims for 100% saturation of targeted welfare schemes and will address public grievances related to 63 government services to ensure efficient resolutions.
- Running from December 11, 2024, to January 26, 2025, the campaign focuses on the empowerment of four key pillars of development:
Significance of the Ken-Betwa River Project
The Ken-Betwa River Linking Project, a long-awaited initiative, is set to transform irrigation, water supply, and ecological balance in the Bundelkhand region. The foundation ceremony, involving Prime Minister Modi, is expected to mark a new chapter in inter-state river collaboration.
With the upcoming Global Investors Summit, Madhya Pradesh is poised to showcase its economic potential on a global stage, aiming to attract substantial investments and drive industrial growth.
