Joint Operation by STF Gwalior and State Tiger Striker Force Shivpuri Leads to Arrest of Two with Wildlife Parts
Bhopal, Shivpuri, March 12, 2025.
Special Director General of Police, Madhya Pradesh STF, Mr. Pankaj Srivastava, had directed effective action against gangs involved in poaching and illegal trade of wildlife parts. Following his instructions, under the guidance of Superintendent of Police STF Gwalior, Mr. Rajesh Singh Bhadoriya, a six-member team was formed under the leadership of Deputy Superintendent of Police, STF Gwalior Unit In-Charge, Mr. Sanjeev Kumar Tiwari.

Coordinated Operation and Arrest
The joint team comprising the STF Gwalior Unit and the State Tiger Striker Force Unit, Shivpuri, conducted a raid on March 11, 2025, based on precise information from an informer. The operation targeted poachers involved in hunting and trafficking of wildlife parts in the Sheopur-Kuno Sanctuary area.
The accused, identified as Rishikesh Meena, son of Devilal Meena, aged 36, resident of Kanarda Village, Karanpur Police Station, Karauli District, Rajasthan, and Sakhi Adivasi, wife of Tinkle Adivasi, aged 27, resident of Likhara Town, Agra Police Station, Sheopur District, were apprehended near the bus stand in Sheopur with a Bolero vehicle bearing registration number MP-06-BA-0660. The authorities recovered 11 antlers (Chital/Sambar), one live wild rabbit, along with the vehicle. Further action is being taken by the General Forest Division, Sheopur District.

Personnel involved in this operation included Head Constable Narendra Sharma, Constable Ravi Gole, Constable Ravi Kachhwara, Constable Kapil Yadav, Constable Arvind Prajapati, and Constable Driver Qazi Javed, who played crucial roles in making this operation successful.
