Bhopal: Monday, November , 2024, — Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav emphasized that under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh are advancing rapidly on the path of development while nurturing their shared cultural heritage. He remarked that both states share a bond like siblings, encompassing common values, traditions, and a unified national spirit.
Speaking as the chief guest at the Chhattisgarh State Foundation Day celebrations in Raipur, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav fondly remembered former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee, crediting his leadership for the creation of Chhattisgarh. “It was under Atal Ji’s guidance that the state of Chhattisgarh came into existence, with its immense potential for growth being realized today. From forestry and mining to various other sectors, Chhattisgarh has emerged as a leader, crafting new dimensions of development across the region,” Dr. Yadav stated.
He further highlighted the progress achieved under the “double engine” governance model, which is accelerating growth under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership. Dr. Yadav also reflected on the spiritual significance of Chhattisgarh, linking it to the legends of Lord Ram and Lord Krishna. “This sacred land has connections with divine figures like Mother Kaushalya and Mata Shabari. The iconic tale of Lord Ram tasting Shabari’s berries is a proud part of our tribal heritage,” he noted.
The Chief Minister emphasized collaborative efforts among Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, and Gujarat to honor and promote the spiritual legacy of Lord Ram and Lord Krishna. Initiatives like the development of the Shri Ram Van Gaman Path and identifying Lord Krishna’s significant sites for religious tourism are a testament to these efforts, aiming to inspire future generations.
The Rajyotsav event was inaugurated by Chief Minister Dr. Yadav with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and the playing of the sacred “Dev Nagada” drums. The celebration was graced by Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, Deputy Chief Ministers Shri Vijay Sharma and Shri Arun Sav, Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh, MP Shri Brajmohan Agrawal, along with other dignitaries, social workers, artists, and a large gathering of the public.
