Minister Dewangan Lays Foundation Stones for 12 Projects Across Four Wards in Korba

In a significant step towards accelerating development in Korba, Minister for Commerce, Industry, and Labor Shri Lakhhan Lal Dewangan inaugurated 12 development projects worth ₹1.11 crore in Ward 32 of Dingapur. The projects reflect the state’s commitment to sustainable urban growth and improving infrastructure under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai.
A New Era of Growth
Speaking at the event, Minister Dewangan said, “The rapid development in Korba is a result of the good governance and vision of Vishnu’s administration. For the first time, individual wards are witnessing investments of ₹50 lakh to ₹1 crore in one go. Our government has completed just one year, and in the next four years, we aim to eliminate all civic problems and equip every ward with modern facilities.”
Highlights of the Projects
The foundation-laying ceremony covered 12 development initiatives, including roads, community centers, cultural platforms, and Anganwadi centers. A breakdown of the key projects inaugurated by Minister Dewangan includes:
- Ward 29, Podibahar: Construction of CC Road at a cost of ₹10 lakh
- Ward 31, Dadar Banswadi: Community building at ₹10 lakh
- Ward 31, Housing Board Colony: Cultural platform construction at ₹5 lakh
- Ward 32, Satnam Nagar: Community building at ₹10 lakh
- Ward 33, Rampur: CC Road construction at ₹10 lakh
- Ward 33: Drain construction at ₹5 lakh
- Ward 32, Dingapur and Risdi: Construction of three Anganwadi centers, each costing ₹12 lakh
- Ward 31, Dadar Khurd: CC Road construction at ₹10 lakh
- Ward 32, Dingapur: Community building near Sanskar School at ₹10 lakh
- Ward 32, Risdi Bazaar: Muktidham (cremation ground) construction at ₹5 lakh
Empowering Women Through Infrastructure
Minister Dewangan emphasized the government’s focus on rebuilding and expanding Anganwadi centers to meet community needs. In Ward 32 alone, three new Anganwadi centers are set for construction. In addition to providing women and children with safe and contemporary facilities, these centres will meet the long-standing needs of the community,” he continued.
Local women expressed gratitude to the minister during the event, noting that their long-pending demands for infrastructure improvements were finally being addressed.

Minister Dewangan reiterated his government’s goal to ensure that every street and alley in Korba is equipped with basic amenities, including paved roads, drainage systems, and electricity poles. “We are working to match the pace of Korba’s growth with quality infrastructure to enhance the lives of all residents,” he said.
