69th Foundation Day of Madhya Pradesh celebrated at Ravindra Bhawan with a musical performance by playback singer Ankit Tiwari.

Bhopal: , November , 2024, :Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav asserted that the welfare of the common citizen should not be obstructed by state boundaries. He emphasized that this aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision. To support this commitment, he has paved the way for the crucial Ken-Betwa river interlinking project and the Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal link project. The Ken-Betwa interlinking project is India’s first river linking initiative. Dr. Yadav stated that approvals for the long-pending Parvati-Chambal-Kalisindh project between Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan have now been granted, which will significantly boost development in large regions of the state. The Madhya Pradesh government is determined to leave no stone unturned in realizing Prime Minister Modi’s vision for rapid progress. The Ken-Betwa project will provide extensive irrigation and water supply benefits to the citizens and farmers of Bundelkhand, marking a historical achievement.

While addressing the audience at the 69th Foundation Day celebration of Madhya Pradesh at Ravindra Bhawan, Dr. Yadav highlighted the long journey since the state’s inception in 1956. He noted that this year’s festivities of the state foundation and Diwali are occurring simultaneously, with a four-day state anniversary celebration and five days of Diwali festivities. The Chief Minister remarked on Madhya Pradesh’s unique history, noting that Lord Rama spent significant time in Chitrakoot and that Lord Krishna received his education in Ujjain on this land. He emphasized that nature has also bestowed its blessings upon the state, stating that the Narmada, along with the Son, Chambal, and Tapi rivers, carries more water than that originating from the Himalayas and the Ganges. Dr. Yadav described Madhya Pradesh as a treasure and blessing for the country, rich in minerals, and announced a redefinition of district and division boundaries for 55 districts. He pointed out that such restructuring has not been undertaken for 68 years, reiterating the government’s commitment to development.

Dr. Yadav further informed that there were only five medical colleges in the state until 2005, a number that has now increased to 20, thanks to three new colleges inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi. The Chief Minister projected that within the next two years, the total will rise to 28 medical colleges, with plans for 40 under the Public-Private Partnership model. The vision is for every district to have its own medical college.

During the event, Dr. Yadav extended his wishes for the Foundation Day and Diwali celebrations and encouraged attendees to enjoy the musical program directed by playback singer Ankit Tiwari from Mumbai. Singer Suhasini Joshi presented the Madhya Pradesh anthem. The Chief Minister inaugurated a film focused on Madhya Pradesh, and honored Ankit Tiwari with a shawl and fruit. Principal Secretary Shiv Shekhar Shukla expressed gratitude to the citizens for their enthusiastic participation in the event.

In attendance were Minister for Sports and Youth Welfare Vishwas Sarang, Minister for Backward Classes and Minorities Krishna Gaur, Minister of State for Animal Husbandry and Dairy Laxman Patel, MPs VD Sharma and Alok Sharma, MLAs Bhagwandas Sabnani, Rameshwar Sharma, and Vishnu Khatri, Bhopal Mayor Malti Rai, former minister Prabhu Ram Chaudhary, Sumit Pachauri, Additional Chief Secretary SN Mishra, along with numerous public representatives and citizens.

**Playback Singer Ankit Tiwari Delights Audience**

During the special evening of the Foundation Day celebration, renowned playback singer Ankit Tiwari greeted the audience and extended Diwali and Madhya Pradesh Foundation Day wishes. He opened the performance with the song “Lagta Hai Dil Teri Shamat Aayi Hai” and followed up with popular hits like “Tu Jo Hai To Main Hoon” and “Tum Se Hi,” enchanting the audience. As the evening progressed, he performed more beloved songs such as “Sanam Teri Kasam,” “Jugni,” and many others, establishing a melodious connection with the audience. The evening culminated in a spectacular finale with songs including “Sun Raha Hai Na Tu,” “Saiyoni,” “Aankhiyaan Udiq,” and ended with “Teri Galiyan.”
